What I want to know is what kind of equipment you are using to capture

Dear Wright, you guys are all seasoned killie keepers and it might not
occur to you, but Diane may not know what an eyed-up egg looks like.  I
remembered going through my first bag of peat and missing every egg
under my nose.  Took me a while to realize what a notho egg looks like
too!

Also, do I take it that an eyed-up egg is a no-miss indication to wet
the peat, even if it's before the 'expected' due date?  What would you
do if these eggs were yours?

Yes... it still thrills me to see the iris, which tells me I don't have
to wait much longer. Quite a sight especially if you can see it up
close.

Diane, the iris that Wright mentioned is quite obvious with the eggs at
the bottom left of the link.  Not all eggs develope at the same time
even if they were collected from the same spawn.
