Thanks to all who responded. I am currently using 2 of those "Kits" that 
you screw you soda bottles into, so no real airstone per se, just the 
air tubing going into the bottle's neck. My eggs are in no way 
motionless, there is quite a lot of agitation going on - I had wondered 
if  perhaps I was giving them too much. Mine is close to the vigorous 
boil, wasn't sure if this was too strong.

As far as eggs settling, the only place some seem to catch and stay 
stuck to is the top of the bottle right above the water line.
Now if only the Killies would cooperate....not sure if ~70F is too nippy 
for the pair (Fp Gardneri Gold) to get into the mood or if I should try 
to warm their tank up a tad bit.  (Betta babies right now profiting from 
the bbs)
