I have only two things to add. First, free advice is just as good as
expensive advice. Paying more for anything guarantees only that you paid more. Second,
although I don't know why, some peat after storage separates into sinking and
floating portions. The late Ted Hesson taught me this trick. After you
immerse the peat with eggs ready to hatch, pour it immediately into a normal
aquarium net and gently squeeze the water out, Then reimmerse it in the water and
most all of the peat will sink. Break up the lumps. I separate eggs from peat
with a medicine dropper with a wider mouth (cut the end off a plastic dropper).
