Has anyone tried to keep scuds (Hyalella azteca) with their daphnia 
culture?  I have a 20 gal bucket with sand on the bottom that I am raising 
magna in and thought that the addition of scuds would benefit both the 
culture and the fish.  The bucket seems to have a layer of fuzzy crud on 
the sides and I was looking for something to consume it.

Also, I understand that a bloom of hydra will wipe out a daphnia 
culture.  Is there a fish food that eats hydra and not daphnia?
