RE: [Killietalk] Re: [cynolebias] Digest Number 681

Maggots would make a good food source. You might try tweezers or rubber
gloves.

Hello All,

We have a house sitter (for our show dogs, our two cats, and my
killies). A couple of months ago he left a half-filled can of cat food
in my garage. By the time I discovered it; it was full of maggots. I
didn't offer it to my fish but wonder if I should have. Any opinions ?
Perhaps a great way of culturing them ??? Any chance of poisoning my
fish or polluting tank water ? Ideas about separating them from the
rotting cat food ??

Tanks,
