I thought I was the only one who got these results. I was blaming plant and
fish death on the salt I was using in conjunction with the melafix.  I
should have known salt doesn't kill Java moss.

The main difference is that asian almond tree leaves leach out a large
number
of bioreactive substances with many properties, including antibacterial. The
melaleuca trees leach out a soothing substance similar to aloe vera. I
learned
the hard way that overdosing with Melafix (it is apparently derived from
melaleuca trees) immediately kills plants and more slowly will kill fishes..
