I have heard that not enough salt would cause the shells to sink.

Bro. Paul
This last collection of cysts has been particularly problematic to me
as well. Good hatches though but there are lots of shells getting to
my fry tanks.
I don't have a solution, I filter off the BBS and wash them and let
shells separate. I am just dealing with cleaning the scum off the
glass from the fry tanks a little more often.
