[Killietalk] Best way to euthanize a fish

The most unpleasant moment in this hobby is to euthanize too old or ill
fish. Not a pleasant or easy task. I have found that the best way to do this
is to cut the spine near the head of the fish with a sharp knife.

The selection of the knife may sound trivial, but after probing several
types, I have found that the French Opinell switch blade is the most handy
tool for this unpleasant job. The Opinel is quite small knife with a carbon
steel blade. So you can sharp the blade razor sharp. The blade has just the
right form. Opinel dries very fast, because of its open structure, and it
doesn't rost easily like most carbon steel knifes.

If you ever visit France, by one from a supermarket - they are very cheap.
