RE: [Killietalk] Re: Melaleuca - almond leaves
The melaleuca tree grows in one isolated area in Australia. It has many
medicinal uses and in fact, was the basis of a network marketing business.
Since it is found nowhere else in the universe, if you wish to utilize the
amazing qualities of the melaleuca tree, live to be 150, increase your
s*xual prowess (if I put the word "s e x" in an email our STUPID junk email
filter will not let me send it, nor receive any of the replies!!!), and make
a million dollars in 6 months - just talk to somebody else, I gave up
network marketing for lent. ;)

The main difference is that asian almond tree leaves leach out a large
number
of bioreactive substances with many properties, including antibacterial. The
melaleuca trees leach out a soothing substance similar to aloe vera. I
learned
the hard way that overdosing with Melafix (it is apparently derived from
melaleuca trees) immediately kills plants and more slowly will kill fishes..
