Try my old well in Lodi Ohio where it came out at 16,000 ppm!.....but,
Oh Yes, any breeding activity was rare.

I don't think I've ever heard of water reaching 600-1000ppm TDS. The
last 2 places I lived had tap water with 70ppm and 45ppm TDS,
respectively (verified with multiple meters). I was afraid my eggs
wouldn't hatch in such hard water :). Thanks for the encouraging info.

Kris, you can throw your RO unit away. I would kiss the ground for your
tap water quality. My tap water has a TDS of from about 600 to 1000 ppm
and
I breed many killies in that water, including australe and gardneri (
not to
mention many South American annuals).
