I am continually amazed by the spectrum of talents, insights, efforts, thoughtfulness, experiences and creativity on this list. Was any of the extract used with killies? What would account for the considerably different TDS for the deionized water in tests 4 and 5-6 ? Was it just that more of the leaf dissolved - accounting for the lower TDS?
 
I fear the old memory has failed me, but have you or has anyone kept killies in tanks with these leaves?

The tap water turned a darker brown than the deionized water.
