Re: [Killietalk] maleleuca

This is the Asian almond tree? I've still got some leaves somebody was passing out at an AKA convention a couple of years ago. After seeing some amazing prices on aquabid for the stuff, that seems awfully gracious of the passer-outer.

Wonder if anyone else who got them tried them. That seems so ungrateful to just keep them - I apologize.

I'll try them this winter. Maybe in a few minutes. (An easier New Year's Resolution.)

You may have a cottage industry there Bob. Do you have some trees in mind which have not been near any spraying of any kind? Have you a place to dry store them?

If the weather here would dry out for a couple of days, it would be a good time to go oak leave picking.

Do you need a midwest distributor? ;)

All the best!

Scott
Has anyone used maleleuca branches/pieces in killie tanks. One of the fish
pharmaceutical companies is utilizing maleleuca to produce an aquarium tonic
that has antibacterial properties. This stuff grows out of control here in SW
Florida. I was wondering if it could be used in the tank for fish cover and also
provide a beneficial side effect of a medicinal nature? Bob D.
