I have wondered about this too.

With non spawning Nothos I usually keep a few Ramshorns in to act as scavengers
to eat up any excess BBS.  I do try to keep my tanks clean but other demands
often only let me clean them only every two weeks or so.  Breeding Nothos are
cleaned every two to three weeks when I collect peat.  However, there are
naturally no snails in the breeding tanks.

Has anyone out there have any real experience with shrimp or any other
scavengers that will work clean up in an active Notho breeding set up and NOT
scavenge the eggs?

Just wondering?
