[Killietalk] Re: Problem hatching brine shrimp eggs
My guess is that, after using the water for several hatches, the bbs
die after hatching due to ammonia, bacteria, etc.. My bbs live for
several days without feeding if I can not collect them for some
reason but I always use fresh hatching water (salt is cheap).
Obviously, their nutritional value to fish is greatly diminished at
that point.

Many of us reuse the saline hatching solution over and over for
several hatches....
I am forced to remake the salt solution because the old solution
causes the eggs to hatch in less than 24 hours and when I turn off
the air to let the BBS settle a large number of the shrimps are
dead. They have hatched hours earlier and have died. I don't have a
cause as to why they are dead unless it is due to the consumption of
their nutritional package and they have nothing to eat. But, dead
none the less.
