Quite correct, the linear piston pumps sold by Jehmco should not be bled
off. As I understand it, they adjust output according to demand by
automatically changing the stroke of the piston. I have the 100 model and it
supplies air to about 120 tanks plus vigorously aerating five 55 gallon
storage tanks to a depth of about 4 feet and it is only working at a
fraction of its capacity. And it is dead quiet. They are wonderful pumps.
