Re: [Killietalk] Digital camera question

I have a Sony Mavica MVC-FD88. It's a 1.3 megapixel zoom capabilities, and so forth, but we are thinking about getting a 3.1 or 6 megapixel upgrade. Looking around and reading the information that Wright and a lot of others have been throwing around here on the list, I have come to the realization that some of these cameras have a terrible shutter lag. One pushes the buttom and counts to 3 and the shutter trips. This Mavikca of ours trips the moment you press the button or maybe there is a portion of a second lag. I've never missed a fish or a shot because of the shutter lag. This old camera makes a 15-second movie. Any other of these cameras have a very, very short shutter lag and can record a short MPG movie?

Which manufacturers of cameras avoid this shutter lag? I'm quite satisfied with what we get out of this one but I would like to get one with a USB connection and a 3.1 megapixel CCD.
any comments?
