I may be shooting blanks here, but running thru a second RO unit in series
may be just as "hard" on the  RO unit as cutting down the waste flow by
using a longer catheter restrictor.  To get the pressure on the second unit,
you will be dropping the flow on the first unit just like using a longer
restrictor.  If you are not getting enough water pressure to drive the unit
efficiently try a pump or as somewone else wrote, increase the temperature
of the input. I just don't see no free lunch. The only option may be to
raise fry in harder flush effluent water and only use the RO water for
breeding. Worth the effort to condition them between the hard and soft
versus paying the water bill?
