I've used polyfilter to transport killifish back from WCW and Vancouver.

The fish were probably in bags for 48-72 hours.  No problems whatsoever.

I also use breathing bags in combination with the polyfilter.
I've also used polyfilter with rigid plastic jars and works as well.
