RE: [Killietalk] Poly Filter
Hi Wright
The Poly bio Marine web pages has all the facts and EPA standard tests to
back it up. I've spoke with the owner a few times and he is a nice guy. My
understanding is that it is a polymer that has an affinity for many cations
and anions. It is patented so there must be a novel technology used in it's
manufacture. I use it at work to soak up any unwanted in my recirc systems.
I'm starting to lean towards a contaminated poly pad. Maybe the pad that
killed the fish was kept near some sort of volatile organic or some other
type of chemical that adsorbed it out of the air. Just a guess because I
have never heard anything but rave reviews of this product.
Best fishes
David
