I have used it for all these purposes and for transporting fish in bags. I 
never had any bad experience with it except the price. I am only convinced it 
does some good in some cases. I have heard that too much can remove too much 
from the water. Fish cannot live in too pure water. I have used about 1 cm cubes 
in fry boxes with good success. I have used about the same amount in shipping 
bags without a problem. Were the pieces of Polyfilter discolored in those 
cases where the fish died?
