Re: Re: [Killietalk] Emailing: Ogo wound
Thanks Stan,
Norm Ruebsamen suggested the same thing and that may take care of it, but I
sure would like to know
the cause. At this point I removed the remaining fish, 2 males and 6 fry and
the cories and plan to just
let the tank sit for a while until I figure out what I want to do. Now if
there is something in the tank there is
nothing to attack; if it is some sort of abscess, internal parasite or
whatever, it should be with the fish
and should occur again. Barry has also offered to do a culture and
histopathology and I may take him
up on it. Again, thanks for your interest
Erny

prior symptoms. My experience has been that either minor wounds or swelling
would accompany a bacterial abscess. I have seen parasitic nematodes
associated with secondary bacterial infections produce similar wounds.
Ulcerative tumors usually are visible prior rupture.

strong bleach solution, dispose of gravel and plants, and place the tank in
the hot sun for a few days! Wear gloves and wash your hands freqently .
There are some really nasty 'bugs' out there.
