RE: What would you do better in your fishroom?

Wright,
So you live in California? Where? I find myself landing at LAX, driving up
to Pt. Mugu and staying in Oxnard/Ventura several times a year. Any
killifish fanciers in that area? Or fish rooms to visit?

It is easy for those of us in the other states to see California's water and
energy woes and say "that's their problem". I challenge them to go to the
store and find produce NOT grown in California. Your problems are our
problems.

John

It was below 0F every night for over a week, once, when I was going to
high school here in the 40s. As I recall, it never got above 10F any day
that week. [Our high-school ski team was Jr. Natl. Champs in that era. :-)]

The "Sun Room" OTOH does have windows all across the west wall, so when
my shade trees lose their leaves in a couple of months, the room may get
pretty good solar warming. I just don't know how much, right now.

My home temp. may depend on how much more wood I can scrounge before
winter. I have a wood-burning stove in the LR which I hope will provide
most of my heat. Trucked-in propane is really expensive, and CA's
screwed up efforts at "deregulation" (HA!) have driven the prices of the
cheap, plentiful, local hydroelectric power totally out of sight.

A little bit of deregulation is about like being a little bit pregnant.
:-) [Gray Davis is finding out, the hard way, that in *any* compromise
between food and poison, the poison will always win.]

PS. Diapterons and *jorgenscheeli* might like our house temps in winter,
but it gets over 110F here, in the summer, so they would be highly
seasonal producers, even if I could keep them alive. Maybe some tough
Cynos from Uruguay?
