When I see things like this I just have to comment. Please this is just my
opinion and hit the delete button now if you don't like opinions.
It is a great joy to be free from worry about all virus and worm problems in my
email. The answer is Linux. For $400 I have a Pentium 4 running Linux. It
polls my IP for email. The email is in various user accounts on the Linux box.
I read mail on Windoze just like everyone else but because I am using a X-Window
server on the Windoze system the mail is really back on the Linux box, worm and
virus immune. I am just seeing the GUI of the email reader on the Windoze
box. No problem!
RedHat Linux will install pretty easy on any old Intel system and a "Unix for
beginners" is all you really need to know. Assaign it an internal subnet
address, put it on your LAN with a bit of Ethernet cable, and your done.
With all the stuff going around the world today this is like a double condom for
your email.
Just my $.02 worth.
