I thought I would share with you all how I have improved my method of
water changes. I used to bucket water from my storage drums to my fish
room (about 40 feet)and then use a plastic jar to refill from the bucket
after I had siphoned out 50% from the tanks. I Recently bought a
ViaAqua 2600 pump and used cheap 1/2" garden hose with one end adapted
to suit the pump and the other with a shut-off valve. Now I just turn on
the pump and go from tank to tank filling each one as a go. The shut-off
valve makes it easy with no spillage. Water change time is reduced
drastically and I don't hate doing it so much.
