I have attempted to provide a semi-monthly summary of discussion topics and
voting issues before the BOT for inclusion in the BNL (remember that we are
all volunteers and there are some months where I am pressed enough for time
that I cannot get them done). Dick has been kind enough to include them for
us. However, you can also contact your BOT member (or any BOT member for
that matter) for a summary or to discuss issues at any time. Feel free to
contact me if you would like.

When the elections come up we have various candidates

If you look at many of the BOT bios, candidates DO give information on where
they stand on issues such as conservation, BNL and so on. However, we are
not prescient, and we cannot foresee all the issues that may come up in a
given year, let alone our term. This is where you as a member need to be
proactive and contact BOT members as you find issues coming up. We may not
vote the way you want us to vote (often because we look at the needs of the
organization for the long term, which is what is making the current slate of
issues so difficult, BTW), but we value your insights and ideas and even
rants and raves (just remember that we are allowed the same privileges in
return).
