One Compeling Reason for Collecting

Hi Tricia,

   I think you side stepped my point. I am not questioning the compeling 
reasons for collecting trips in general. I am questioning the compeling reason for 
THE AKA TO GET INVOLVED IN SPONSORING AND FUNDING collecting trips. It is a 
very specific topic with a very specific question. As far as collecting trips 
in general, I say collect away, although I wish people would remember Scheel's 
advice: just return with those species (unless science is the goal) that you 
feel sure will be viable (desired) long term in the hobby and not just fall 
victim to the craze of the month club. There are reasons australe, guentheri, 
blue gularis, occidentalis, bivs, etc have been around for decades -- they are 
forever winning new hobbyists.
