Hello David
You should have went to the convention, there were several species in
the sale room, some very nice fish in the show.... pretty much what i
went there looking for... so i came home with quite a few new species...
8-)
They arent hard to breed.... I prefer to use a natural setup with these
guys.... 10 gallon tank packed full of java moss and water sprite on the
surface.... wait a few months and there are all sorts of fry of
different sizes in the tank, parents dont seem to go after the fry...
which is good!!
Only thing bad about them i guess, is you have to wait till they are
really mature to start getting good egg production out of them, but once
you do.... watch out!!
I just picked up some nice S. Bertholdi from Sue Katz that are really
nice.... giving me eggs already at a smaller size then i normally would
think would be mature enough to spawn...
John
