Hi,
The only thing against both a paper and an on line BNL/F&EL is the work
it creates for more volunteers and the waste of money duplicating services. If
the necessary volunteers are there and the extra money is there then I'd be
all for both. If the resources are there for only one then I say online.
The membership questionaire has always been a bust. Most people are just
not involved enough to bother. It smacks of goverment and politics and people
only care about those things when they directly in the present dip into their
lives or pocketbooks. If there are no pressing issues they let someone else
worry about it. The questionaire will never speak for the membership nor will
the convention. Let the leadership make changes and if there is a negative
outcry because the membership was actually effected -- everyone will hear about it
to be sure. This requires leadership and not consensus. What VISION does the
BOT have. The founding members of the AKA only had each other to ask how do we
do it. Well, that is all the BOT really has until the effects of decisions are
felt by the membership. So lead and see if we follow. It might just work out.
Bobby
