I have some killies in my pond and I'll share the following with you.
R. cryptocallus - surprisingly, I never see them. I added them because I
thought they might lie around on the lilly pads, but nope. Find them in the
filter once in a while, so I know they are still alive. Put 'em back in the
pond
and that's it.
Blue gularis - see them only rarely.
P. longipinnis - I added them because they never ate dry food, so I figured
they would be effective in keeping the "critters" down, such as dragonfly
larvae, tadpoles, etc., but they are the big surprise. They swim around a
lot in
the open areas, mingle with the koi and goldfish, and are about large enough
to
be seen.
A australe - they swim around in the open, but are just too small to be seen
easily.
