Joseph's raises another really salient point. I'm glad you and your wife are
ok Edd. I recall a really scary and life threatening situation a lady faced
in Chicagoland a number of years ago when seriously cut by glass from a
falling tank. After surgery and a considerable healing period I believe she
is back to where she was. (There was a news story of a little kid who
perished after climbing on and pulling a tank over on himself too.)
I too have been greeted by the cheerful sound of cascading water (in a mere
55 - also over 20 years old, the tank that is) when rushing to the living
room (naturally) late for work. I think of the toodlers at Lee's home
banging on the tank and our kids back when they were munchkins. I'm dismayed
to hear about Persian rugs and bedrooms having to be cleaned up, however....
I've also chuckled at the story of the college student whose oversized
piranha flipped the tank top off and was flopping on the floor in the dark.
Naturally the light switch was on the other side of the flipping sound. You
can bet that he gingerly and carefully worked his way around the walls to
the switch. (A real "killerfish"?)
Damage to property can be heartbreaking and loss of sleep a pain. But I'm
thankful that neither the little kids nor the big kids got hurt. :)
All the best!
Scott
