Both of the comments below are very useful, BUT Sandy's original question
was regarding an "air system", which I take to mean a way of distributing
"air" to a number of tanks, and not water. And for that, Jehmco's AV1B
have worked flawlessly in my system. That being said, I'll save both of
the comments below for whenever I need a water distribution system.

I recommend the AWV1TB valve as listed on the Jehmco site. They are a
ball valve. I would avoid metal valves in a water distribution system and
I would avoid needle valves. The latter tend to block up too quickly and
require frequent adjustment.

Is there a better valve choice for this?

My current valve of choice is no valve at all but a controlled drip
emitter -
1 gph, for example. I just use the threaded barb connector at the PVC
tubing.
Easier to get equitable distribution and cheaper. See www.dripirrigation.com
