Ok, gases rise regardless of what you do, and will
continue rising out of the water. Unless you have some
sort of system to keep the bubbles in the water --
this could be as simple as placing the tube where the
bubbles come out under a plastic cup and directing the
water current under the cup, to making/buying a
diffuser

plan to make one), but if you just let the bubbles out
instead of collecting and dissolving in the water, you
aren't getting very much use out of the CO2 "thing".
Also, what type of power filter do you have? A Whisper
or Aquaclear hang on back creates probably too much
surface turbelance that the Co2 is probably being
exchanged for O2 quickly enough that it isn't making a
difference to your plants. I have a 10 g planted tank
too, i use a Duetto Multifilter 50 in my tank, it has
an air inlet that makes the Co2 bubbles finer and (in
theory) lets them dissolve easily in the water, and i
can change its direction so it doesn't disturb the
surface whatsoever for the best Co2 efficeincy. What
type of lighting do you have on the tank? What kind of
plants are you keeping? Also, lol, if you're going
compressed, any chance you'd be selling the Hagen
system? I don't have any glosso but if anyone's
reading i am interested in buying some lilaopsis or e.
