Just out of curiosity, Charles, 1 week of cycling and you added fish, delicate ones at that? And you added the fish before you added the plants? Goes against everything I have learned, I am a little confused... But then again, what do I know? I can't get Gardneri to breed, lol.

Hello everyone:
I finally had a chance to check out the effectiveness of
Flubendazole on an attack of Ick. I just recently set up a 75-gallon
tank in my office at work. I started stocking it about a week later
with twelve Neon Tetras and four Angelfish. After another week I
added a bunch of plants and a pair of Green Swords. The next day the
Swords were covered with white spots. The day after that, several of
the Tetras were covered with white spots. I added 7 grams of
Flubendazole over a period of about three hours to get it all to
dissolve. The next day two of the affected Neons were dead and the
Green Swords looked worse. They must have had twice as many spots on
them as they did the day before. That was Friday the 27th. There
wasn't really much I could do about it so I just decided that they
would all have to be replaced and it was just to much of an
infection. Monday morning when I returned to my office, the spots on
the Green Swords were gone. One of the larger Angels that had really
been infected by the Ick was dead. It looked like fungus was going to
be a big problem, but the Ick was gone after 3 days of Flubendazole.
I changed the water, 50 gallons of it, using a carbon filter to take
out the chlorine of the tap water.
Now, four weeks after setting up the tank, I have lost two
Angels, four of the Neons, and I think that'll be all. I blame the
fungus as a secondary infection that has killed them. So Flubendazole
might be a good cure for the protozoa but I'm still going to need
something that is going to take care of bacteria and fungus. It has
been a week since the spots disappeared from the livebearers so I
think I am safe with putting my Discus in the tank in this next week.
Oh yea,
Some Killie content . . .
Back to change some more water.
