puffball eggs

Hello everyone,

I've been trying the simplest of all things with collecting eggs from
Aphyosemion species that are notorious (under my conditions) for
fungusing after fertilization. I don't recall who told me about this
years ago (especially since I totally forgot their advice for years),
but it might be useful for killiekeepers who are facing this problem.

Instead of handling the egg directly to transfer them from the mop, I
simply snip off the strand with the egg, and without touching the egg,
transfer it to the incubation container. This gives me mops that
eventually look like circa 1979 punk club patrons, but hatch rates have
gone up strikingly in the month since I reinvented this old wheel. Maybe
I just have noxious fingertips, but I hope the trick's useful to
someone...
