I had great success with A. coeleste RPC 5 about 10 years or so ago by using
the old permanent planted setup. Water was kept at about 74F, and pH was
about 7.2-7.4 with hardness about 100 ppm after mixing RO water with tap
water. I found many fry free swimming amongst the plants floating at the
surface (water sprite). I fed mainly frozen brine shrimp and blackworms,
with occasional servings of mosquito larvae and daphnia in the summer
months.
