Re: need air-pump advice...which to get for my fish room
Consider the linear piston pumps from Jehmco (www.jehmco.com). They are
quiet, very dependable and durable, and will supply all the air you need.
They self regulate their output depending on demand and so don't need to
have air bled off. What size you need depends on how many tanks you have
and how deep they are. I would advise talking to John at Jehmco. He is very
generous with his advice and is knowledgeable.

AquaCave.com has a couple lines of pumps. I'm looking at running my
entire room off one pump. I'm considering a Whitewater Linear
pump. Anybody have experience with this pump. I like it because it's low
priced.
Also, it is rated for a number of airstones. I use box filters without a
stone. This would decrease my back pressure making it easier for the pump
to pump air to more tanks.
What will a 1.5 c.f.m. pump do with no back pressure? How about a 2.5.?
