A. punctatum et al

hello,
I just took the kids to the park, and on the way out, grabbed a few old
JAKAs to read in the pale sunshine. The preconvention period always gets
me thinking about the fish I might see, and there's no better way to be
informed than by digging through older articles. In the July/August 1998
(vol 31, #4) JAKA, I re-encountered a Wolfgang Eberl article on
Aphyosemion aureum that has me thinking. With the knowledge on this
list, I thought I'd float one sincere and one self-serving question....

First, why is it that an attractive and widespread (in nature) killie
like Aphyosemion punctatum seems so rare in the hobby? Is it more
difficult than its neighbours? Any anecdotes?

What is the AKA status of sp. aff citrineipinnis, and is there anyone
going to the convention who feels burdened by having too many, and who
might want to find some a new home in my fishroom?

I guess it's clear which query is the self-serving one...
