I no longer maintain fruit fly cultures because Nothos don't seem to like
them. However, when I did I used the bottles used to market fruit drinks,
like Snapple. The sponge stoppers sold by Carolina Biological fit these
well. The size allows for a decent crop of flies and I found the medium
stuck in the bottom of the bottle without problems. However, I did use the
medium that you can buy in bulk from CB.
