My original request for information on whether an online description was
valid did not imply I have a new sp. to name, although it is true to say
that fish have been in my tanks prior to any description I have not felt
qualified to do this work. If any future fish turns up in imports which I
considered justified a deeper look I would consider sending preserved
specimens to Dr.Jean Huber in the Natural History Museum, Paris. He has more
qualifications in this field than I.
For the sake of future reference are the rules of the ICZN online?
I'm sure this base reference point would help to clarify the thread.
