Re: location codes

The Wild Collections book does have quite a few cross references. These
populations can be bred without any problems. The value of the separate codes
of the same population is to inform the aquarist as to when the fish was
collected. This give clues to inbreeding. It would become very confusing if
we started using two codes for an aquarium produced population RDR 09 X TDK
17. I suggest that when two codes are crossed, being fish from the exact same
collecting location, that the latest code be used and the earlier one dropped
for that particular breeding. Older codes should not be dropped unless
crossed with a more recent code. As if we didn't have enough challenges as it
is!!
