Too late, one was just killed. I didn't see who did it, but he was just found floating. The other male is well hidden in the plants.
The aggression amongst the males is pretty amazing. One male is unharmed, the other has quite a lot of torn fins now, it also appears that the females are doing the ripping up and that the ripped up one is the one spawning with them! There are only 2 full grown males in the 30 gallon tank. I had heard that that was a bad number. There is a juvenile male about 2/3rds their size and one more just starting to color up. Hopefully the aggression will be diffused soon.
