wine cork for mop floating
I'm planning on using a cork from an emptied wine
bottle to float a mop in one of my 10gal tanks.
I was a bit concerned about wine residue left on/in
the cork effecting the water quality.
I ran the cork through the dishwasher twice. Figuring
this will clean it off. Following that, I was
planning on rinsing it off under the tap.
Anyone else have any opinions about these steps, or
pehaps better steps in getting a wine bottle cork
preped for a mop?
Or should I just toss the cork and use another source
for a cork to float the mop?
Thanks!
