My girlfriend feels exactly that same way about the bettas that moved into
the apartment... and the Killies...and the Frogs... and the gouramis ... and
the 4 aquariums... and the pumps, hoses, buckets, heaters, valves, jars,
boxes, floss, baggies, pipes, sponges, books and other sundries that are now
sharing the space that was formerly just ours :)

Gotta love this hobby,

So you are saying that Bettas and Paradise fish are not born aggressive and
territorial? I suppose it makes sense. You spend weeks or even months in a
little tank that you learn over time is all your own, suddenly another fish
is thrown into the mix, into your tank. I'd be a little upset if I lived in
