Re: customer bought eggs, may mix subspecies

I took a few comments from the people that emailed me and forwarded them to
the person who bought the eggs. When I packed the eggs, I realized that the
problem really did not exist because the hatch dates for the eggs were weeks
apart, so at least for a few months they will have to be raised separately.

Thanks for all the input,
Richard

but I also know, from experience, that sometime a personal situation doesn't
permit it. In that case, educate the person that they shouldn't sell or
give away any offspring.

Melanotaenia praecox, both rainbowfish, not killies, and I'm sure they will
interbreed. They only other choice I had was to give up one of the two
species. I just had to cut down from 20 tanks to 2, that was difficult to
say the least. What will I do with fry? Well, I did put 2 angels in the
tank also so I really don't think I'll have that problem... :-)
