Aplocheilichthys and Fundulopanchax will 99.99% NOT interbreed. (I leave the
0.01% because daft things happen, but that is another story.)
As a generalisation, fish from different genera will not cross, and most
fish from the same genus will not cross either. You may sometimes get
hybrids from closely related species, but often these hybrids are sterile.
(For the experts, I know this is an over-simplification. :-) )
