Re: new import (more OT musing)

Thanks Tim,

That mystery Aphyo looks a lot like what we once called *A. bit.* Lagos.
If so, it's a gorgeous Chromaphyo.

This may be a rare import for a while, as the Nigerians are going through
their first efforts to change government without military intervention.
Some call it an ethnic dispute, but it probably is more a problem of very
poor understanding of how to use limited government to prevent one group
from dominating another (aka protecting minorities). Let's hope they catch
on, soon, and that the disruption is minimal until then.

Let's also pray that the Imperial instincts of our US govt. don't get bent
out of shape by the temporary shortage of oil. That could do a lot to
prevent the Nigerians from figuring out how to run their own affairs. I'd
far rather have them as friendly trading partners, shipping us gorgeous
fish, than as another colony. YMMV.
