Re: just my thoughts
Sounds good to me Erny,
now that the AKA site isn't on a server at the University. It should be
possible to have commercial, although not for profit ventures, as a part of
the services. It could promote the AKA, and pay for a part of the overhead
to ensure the online auctions were going OK... This way nomenclature and
COE could be enforced as well as educating the buyers on what they are
getting.
I haven't really said much on the issue of the BNL fish and egg listing.
Very often because of where I am located it takes a while for the BNL to
reach me and by then all of the fish I am interested in are sold out.
Having an outlet online, governed by the AKA's COE and supporting the AKA
would be great (I see so much questionable dealings on Aquabid). Also
having something like this online would also prevent people from getting
calls at 2:00 am. Imagine me getting a call from any well meaning person
on the East coast at 8:00 am (which is a nice reasonable time there) for me
that is 2:00-3:00 am depending on daylight savings time. E-mail works out
the best for me. I can answer it without needing to be waken up at some
ungodly hour...
