Obviously they were rather expensive. It never, ever happens with cheap 
fish! ;-)

I wonder if she really is GAR? That is *so* unlikely for them.

Orange Bettas tend to be ridiculously expensive, too. After the nice 
female I had killed no less than three husky males, I decided I could no 
longer afford to breed orange Bettas.
