You have that quite wrong, Erny. The feedback can only reflect badly on
bad ethics or give no information. I suspect you don't have all the
information on how it works.

The feedback cannot be touched by the person it applies to, and you have
to be unable to read to not find it useful as all get out.

New name means no feedback. That means no sale. Too simple? I neither buy
from nor sell to folks with zero feedback messages. Too risky for anything
but trivial amounts I'm 100% willing to lose.

No reputable auction site allows simple name changes, without warning
(e.g., e-bay's dreaded "shades"). You normally must come up with a whole
new credit card with a different name and mailing address for each change.
Feedback starts all over at zero, either way. Not too easy for a thief to
do, anyway.

My e-bay handle is whuntley. Go read my feedback messages. I cannot edit
them in any way. Each one has to be from a unique individual and from a
totally different transaction. Would you say I am a good person to do
business with on e-bay? If not, why not?
