F&EL
Hi All,
Maybe its time to have a census/questionaire that just focuses on the
F&EL. To insure a big response from those most effected, we could say that a
final decision will be based on the answers received. It is sounding like its
time the F&EL truly went on line. It seems the AKA is loosing ground to
Aquabid and ebay. If we had the listings on line and people could add to
their listing at will as things became available we might really build
something special. I would not want anyone left out. The list should be
available to AKAers only. If the members had access to listing on and using
such a free form site, we might tap into sources of fish for the members that
would even out do the local clubs. It might also become a powerful lure for
joining the AKA -- as the F&EL was in years past. We might save costs by
discontinuing the BNL and reworking its material into JAKA so that JAKA
becomes a true club magazine and not only a collection of articles. JAKA does
not serve to connect the national club. It does not create a sense of
connection between local clubs and between individuals and the whole club.
Who knows what each local club is about or up to? The problems with the F&EL
seem to me to provide an opportunity to rethink our national identity.
